The National SEPA Committee met on December 13, 2011 to follow the progress made both in the negotiations of the European Regulation establishing a single end-date for the migration to the SEPA credit transfer and direct debit and in the preparatory work accomplished at the national level.

The National SEPA Committee met on 10 June 2011 to examine the state of the migration to SEPA in France in relation to the suggested SEPA end-dates of the EU Regulation currently under discussion between the Council and European Parliament.

Press release of January 14, 2011

At its meeting on January 13, 2011, the national SEPA Committee analysed the legislative proposal on SEPA migration end dates put forward by the EU Commission and examined the state of the migration to SEPA in France. The national Committee welcomed the proposed schedule for the completion of the migration to the SEPA Credit Transfer (SCT) Scheme by June 2013, and to the SEPA Direct Debit (SDD) Scheme by June 2014. It nonetheless identified some difficulties regarding certain aspects of the EU legislative proposal.

Press release of June 3, 2010

At his meeting held on June 3, 2010, the national SEPA Committee examined the state of the migration to SEPA in France. It acknowledged the considerable efforts made by public administrations which will lead at the beginning of 2011 to a highly significant share of SEPA Credit Transfers. The Committee also confirmed the launch of the SEPA Direct Debit as from November 1st, 2010. Clarifications are needed from European public authorities, in particular from the newly-created SEPA Council on several issues.
